We bought this sock for our three-year-old and we also bought shin guards, just in case these did not work out They worked out so much better than the shin guards--they were easy to put on, with little need for pulling. The sock goes on first and then the hard guard fits in, making it nice for wiggly little three-year-olds. I will be buying more of these socks in the near future.
